COURSE

OVERVIEW

Being part of the protective services can be both exciting and challenging at times. This course has been designed to challenge you to become our next police officers, fire fighters and ambulance crew members.
You will evolve your team work, communication, professional, technical and physical skills that will be transferable to your role within the public and uniformed services and allow you to excel within the industry.
This is a hands-on course. You will participate in a number of command and control practices, crime scene investigations, outdoor activities, navigation and expeditions to acquire and nurture core skills required in the uniform service.
You will be presented with the opportunity to visit both military and emergency services to get a first-hand experience of what it is like to work within this fast paced industry.

A minimum of four GCSEs with the following grades: English at 3 or above and maths at 2 or above and two other GCSEs at 3 or above. If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.
There are no formal exams throughout this course. You will be heavily assessed on your ability to demonstrate skills and behaviours through observations and completion of logbooks and diaries.
Uniformed Protective Services Level 3
This course is a great choice and an excellent stepping stone if you are enthusiastic about a career in uniform protective services. It is also ideal for preparing learners for progression to Level 3 course of study. The course is dedicated to skill development and preparation for next steps, supporting career journeys in the police, health service, fire service and armed forces.
