OVERVIEW

The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Animal Management has been developed for individuals who have a passion for animals and are keen to further develop their knowledge of animal health, welfare and biology.
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of animal management and will equip you with the necessary knowledge to assess the welfare needs of animals, enable you to acquire practical animal management skills and master essential study skills and husbandry techniques.
Units could include: Animal behaviour Animal health and welfare Business and the business environment Managing a successful project (Pearson set unit) Ecological principles Exotics Management of animal collections Anatomy and physiology

£3,475 per year. The following course-related costs are not included in the fees: The cost of books that you might wish to purchase Additional printing over the termly print allowance Any optional trips that may be offered as part of the course
BTEC Extended Diploma at MPP or 64 UCAS points and GCSE English and maths grade C (4) or above.
On this course you will be assessed by a mixture of course work, practical assignments and some exams.
From the HNC you can progress onto the HND or find employment within the animal sector.
