The Kirklees Operator Skills Hub is an impressive new facility for groundworks and plant machinery operations upskilling, located at our multi-million Engineering Centre in Huddersfield.
The Operator Skills Hub, funded by the college, Flannery Plant Hire and Kirklees Council, is made up of a mobile classroom and virtual reality hub, and a live construction site adjacent to this with a range of plant and groundworks machinery for students to gain hands-on learning.
Flannery and Kirklees College are currently offering a range of Skills Bootcamps for adult learners at the Operator Skills Hub, including the college’s Groundworks Bootcamp.
Skills Bootcamps are courses for 19+ learners looking to upskill and expand their employability skills by gaining practical, hands-on technical knowledge.
Students on our Level 1 Diploma in Groundworks course will benefit from the facilities at the Operator Skills Hub, actively visiting the site and using its equipment throughout the course to enhance their practical skills.
