Kirklees College is committed to supporting all of our students wherever we can, regardless of their background or situation. We offer a wide range of specialist support which is carefully allocated to ensure help is accessible to those who may need it. We offer support on all areas from financial advice to exam support.

Financial Support

Kirklees College offers a range of support funds to help students overcome any financial problems that may prevent them from studying. Costs such as travel or meals may stop some students from joining or continuing a course or programme. The Financial Support Team can offer advice on financial matters and help in applying for any available grants or funding.

Kirklees College is committed to providing the highest standards of support to learners who have a disability or learning difficulty. We have always taken a proactive approach in developing programmes and provisions for all learners and are keen to support the needs of our learners and their families. SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Kirklees College is committed to delivering the provisions of the Children and Families Act 2014. We embrace our statutory duty to fulfil our obligations under the SEND Code of Practice for those aged up to 25 and are committed to making every effort to meet your support needs.

Student Counselling

Kirklees College offers students a safe and relaxing place to speak about any of the issues in their lives. We hold confidential appointments via telephone, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face.

We understand that exam time can be challenging for many students. We are here to help, whatever your needs. From revision techniques to practice papers, tips on handling any nerves to organising appropriate adjustments. Our dedicated team is here to support you.
