COURSE
OVERVIEW
Access to HE diplomas are designed for adult learners who wish to progress to university or higher level study, but do not currently have the qualifications to apply. Within one-year, this course will prepare you with all the necessary knowledge and academic skills to study policing and related fields at a higher level.
You will cover a range of topics related to criminology, law, psychology and sociology, through which you will develop the foundational skills required to work in law enforcement effectively.
Some of the modules you will cover include: academic writing, elements of a crime, criminology, human rights, law of a contract, law of homicide, the powers of police, British Government and politics, crime and society, aggression and psychological profiling.
