COURSE
OVERVIEW
Learn to play the Steel Pan! Enjoy keeping the vibe alive of steel pan playing in Huddersfield on this course. Taught by a Trinidadian professional player, you will learn a variety of Caribbean tunes and rhythms played in a steel band.
Steel pan lessons are provided in collaboration with Huddersfield African Caribbean Cultural Trust and Legacy Steel Band. The course will be taught by Melvin Zakers, a well-known teacher and pan player from Leeds New World Steel Orchestra.
This 8-week course is suitable for beginners and previous players and leads to a performance with the KC Steel Band in the final week.
