Inclusive Learning Admin Lead

In the role of Inclusive Learning Admin Lead, you’ll predominantly be based at our Waterfront Campus, and your focus will be on providing high-quality support for the Inclusive Learning team.

Your key responsibilities will be linked to the SEND Code of Practice requirements and ensuring we meet the required deadlines.

Over recent years, the college has gone from strength to strength, earning Ofsted’s ‘Good’ rating at last inspection. We recognise that this achievement was due to the hard work and dedication of our staff members and we understand the importance of recognising and rewarding this.

The college hosts KC Stars, where the whole college come together to applaud the achievements and actions of those who have gone above and beyond.

One of the standout benefits of working at Kirklees College is our generous holiday entitlement. Full-time staff enjoy a minimum of 30 days of holiday per year, including five closure days.

In addition, colleagues also enjoy 10 bank holidays over and above their annual leave allowance. Compared to the statutory minimum, we provide at least two weeks more bookable holiday!

We appreciate the importance of regular rest and recuperation and ensure our holiday allowance reflects that.

All staff are entered into a pension scheme relevant to their role with generous employer contributions.

Business Support staff are automatically entered into the West Yorkshire Pension Scheme, with 10% employer contributions.

Teaching staff are automatically entered into the Teacher’s Pension Scheme, with 23.68% employer contributions.

Not just available to students, college staff are also eligible to purchase a student discount card through TOTUM. Once purchased this allows access to discounts on clothing, days out and much more. Furthermore, you get a free TASTE card and Coffee Club membership to use at restaurants and cafes.

All employees of Kirklees College are able to benefit from a free subscription to Microsoft 365 whilst employed by the college.

Curry’s PC World voucher scheme: with this scheme you can buy a voucher for any amount up to £1500 and spread the cost over a 12-month period to come out of your monthly pay. The voucher can be used online or in store on any products in Curry’s PC World.

Discounted Rail and Bus Travel: discounts on Metro yearly passes can save you 12%, furthermore college will loan you the money and repayments can come directly from your wage monthly. Take the bus? No worries we also have you covered too with 16.5% discount on monthly bus passes with Arriva and Yorkshire Tiger bus.

The health and wellbeing of our staff is very important, so the college offers the following to all staff:

  • Health Assured EAP Scheme (Employee Assistance Programme)

This health programme is available to all staff. The service provides free and confidential support that is available 24 hours a day. Furthermore, six counselling sessions are included with no cost to staff.

  • Eyesight tests

The college will contribute towards the cost of your eye examination and the cost of glasses, if it is deemed necessary for your role.

  • College gym or local gym membership discount

At our Huddersfield Centre, staff have access to the fully equipped sport and fitness centre for just £2.50 per month, and can also access a variety of local gyms at a discounted rate.

  • Hair, beauty and relaxation treatments

Discounts are available to all staff across the college on a wide range of hair and beauty treatments including haircuts and colours, massage and manicures. The treatments are carried out by our Kirklees College students under the close supervision of the highly qualified hair and beauty lecturers.

  • Cycle to Work Scheme

This tax exemption initiative is to promote healthier journeys to work and allows you to purchase a bicycle and claim it back via your wage before paying tax, in effect making it 20% cheaper.

  • Family Leave and Benefits

We recognise that many of our staff have responsibilities for family or dependants and operate a number of initiatives to help colleagues balance these responsibilities with work.

The college has a number of schemes that cover the following family circumstances:
