This apprenticeship is designed for individuals in the role of Professional Accounting/Taxation Technician. It is for people already employed in accountancy who will have responsibility for creating and/or verifying and reviewing accurate and timely financial information within the organisation in which they are employed or on behalf of another organisation.
While on this apprenticeship you will look at management accounting, financial statements of llimited companies and accounting systems and controls. You will also develop your understanding of business and personal taxation, ethical standards alongside regulation and compliance.

Entry Requirements
A Level 3 Accounting qualification and GCSE English and maths grade C/4 or above. Candidates with appropriate experience in the financial industry will be considered on individual merit.
To start your apprenticeship you must have secured employment that the college has agreed is suitable.
Assessment Methods
Apprentices will also be assessed through the development of a portfolio of evidence demonstrating knowledge, skills and behaviours comprising a range of evidence alonside succesfully passing synoptic end assessments and appropriate AAT examinations.
Course Progression
Higher level qualifications and professional qualifications
Completion of the Professional Accounting/Tax Technician Apprenticeship may lead to the candidate receiving credits
toward Chartered Accountancy/Taxation qualifications provided by the relevant professional bodies and may also result in
credits being awarded towards relevant undergraduate degree programmes.
Career Progression
On completion of your apprenticeship you will be eligable to be considered by UK Chartered and Certified accountancy
bodies; ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, ICAS and CIPFA.
