This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in warehouse operations, logistics and inventory management. Working alongside an experienced stores team, the successful candidate will receive on-the-job training while completing a recognised apprenticeship qualification through college.

APPRENTICESHIP

OVERVIEW

Throughout the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be trained to:

Receive, check and safely store incoming deliveries
Pick and issue materials to production teams
Replenish warehouse, lineside and electrical stock locations
Assist with inventory control and stock counting activities
Maintain accurate stock records using the company’s inventory management system
Help identify and resolve stock shortages and material discrepancies
Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment
Support continuous improvement activities within the stores department
Assist with waste management and general housekeeping
Learn safe manual handling techniques and warehouse best practices
Work with other departments to ensure materials are available when required
Learn how to safely operate warehouse equipment (including Fork Lift Trucks, where appropriate and subject to age, training and certification)
Support deliveries and collections as required

You will study at Kirklees College located in Huddersfield.

Apprenticeship Outcome
