COURSE

OVERVIEW

These courses are free of charge if you have not already completed the qualification and can help you gain confidence to progress to a higher level in education or work. Is English not your first language? Please see our ESOL section.
Classes focus on further developing your reading and writing skills. You will also develop confidence in speaking with/to others and preparing presentations. Exams happen at several points in the year. To join this course, call our Info Team on 01484 437070 or email info@kirkleescollege.ac.uk. Our team will then give you more details on how you will be assessed and enrolled onto this course.
The class times are as follows: Huddersfield Tuesday: 12.30pm – 2.30pm or 6pm – 8pm Thursday: 12.30pm – 2.30pm Friday: 9.30am – 11.30am Pioneer Monday: 9.30am – 11.30am Online Wednesday, 6pm – 8pm

This course is fully funded through West Yorkshire’s Adult Education Budget.
To join the course, you will need to complete an assessment that will determine the level you are working at and if you are suitable for GCSE or Functional Skills. This will be available at one of our assessment sessions.
