Introduction to Beauty
The course provides a good introduction to the beauty industry, including basic skin care and basic nail care.

COURSE
OVERVIEW
The course will teach you a wide range of skills, including a basic facial treatment: cleansing, toning, exfoliation, masking, serum, and moisturising. This is all important knowledge to have as you start a career in a constantly evolving role as a beauty therapist or technician.
Amongst other beauty therapy skills, you will also learn how to correctly file nails and tidy the cuticles to maintain the health of the natural nail.
You will learn to identify different skin types and their characteristics and select suitable products for a specific skin type.
Throughout your time training and studying in our fully functioning salons, you will also gain key transferable skills in client care, communication and basic health and safety. This will allow you to progress onto higher-level courses at Kirklees College.
Finance and Funding
