This course is an introduction to hot stone therapy, including the history, benefits, and basic techniques. You will learn how to prepare stones, manage temperature safely, and perform basic massage strokes to enhance relaxation and wellbeing.
You will cover essential health and safety practices, client consultation procedures, and hygiene standards. You will understand how to carry out thorough client assessments, maintain a safe treatment environment, and manage any risks associated with hot stone massage.
You will practise combining stone placement and hand massage to deliver an effective treatment while receiving feedback to refine your skills.
This course will run Fridays, 12:15-3:30pm.
You will also learn about professional client care, communication, and post-treatment advice. You will learn how to provide a positive client experience, address individual needs, and ensure client comfort and satisfaction throughout the session.
