This practical and engaging course is designed for individuals who are considering starting their own business or becoming self-employed.

OVERVIEW
This course aims to help learners explore self-employment as a potential career path and develop the confidence to take the first steps towards running their own business. Learners will begin to understand what self-employment involves, assess their suitability for entrepreneurship, identify viable business opportunities, and build the knowledge needed to plan, launch, and manage a small business successfully.
This course covers the key principles of self-employment and business start-up, including generating and evaluating business ideas, conducting market research, understanding customers, and creating a simple business plan. Learners will also explore budgeting and financial planning, legal and regulatory requirements, marketing and promotion, and practical action planning to support their journey into self-employment.
