COURSE

OVERVIEW

The Vocational Pathways course develops students with the skills, qualities and qualifications needed to progress onto Level 1 or Level 2 vocational programmes or into employment. On this course you will develop transferable skills and qualities such as leadership, effective communication, working with others and supporting your own health and wellbeing.
By selecting the sport and leisure pathway, you will learn the fundamentals of fitness, training, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You will gain an understanding of topics such as exercise techniques, teamwork, and personal wellbeing.
You will also develop your skills through a range of practical sessions, working with specialist coaches to support your learning and build your confidence in a sports environment. In addition, you will spend one day a week studying at our Huddersfield Centre, where you will further develop your knowledge and understanding of the subject.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.
