OVERVIEW

This T Level Foundation Year will allow you to develop your knowledge and understanding of a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting children and young people’s positive behaviour, and communication and professional relationships.
The course consists of 11 mandatory units and you will be expected to complete a mandatory placement. You will be observed out on placement to ensure you are able to meet the skills and competencies related to the qualification.

You will need GCSE English and maths at grade 3, and two other GCSEs / Level 2 qualifications at grade 3 or above.
The qualification will be assessed using a variety of formative and summative methods such as: powerpoints, presentations, tik toks, reports and posters. You will also be expected to create reflective diaries, activity plans and be involved in professional discussions.
This course specifically prepares you for the T Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
This course will prepare you for a career as a Teaching Assistant in a number of early years and young people’s settings
