On this course, you will cover topics that are relevant to the science industry to prepare you for a future career in laboratory science, including cell cycle and cellular respiration, scientific methodology, experimental equipment and techniques and ethics of science. The level of science undertaken in this T Level is A-level standard and will cover all three sciences, biology, chemistry and physics.
You will study general regulations and processes, managing information and data and working in the sector. You will study this core content with students on our Health T Level course. You will learn the principals of good scientific and clinical practice to prepare you for your industry placement which can be undertaken in various settings, including the NHS, schools, textile labs, quality control and chemical processing plant labs.
The course will also provide you with real-life practices which you will be able to apply to future job roles. This includes focusing on learning the science sector, further scientific knowledge used in everyday practice and developing relevant analytical techniques.
The units on this course will also cover the ethics of science and how it can influence your work and the work undertaken by organisations. You will also look at the experimental equipment and techniques and how they can affect processes within laboratory sciences. This will help you identify and resolve issues with scientific equipment or data errors.
