COURSE

OVERVIEW

This Level 1 course is ideal if you are looking to work in the Travel and Tourism industry. Over the course of the year you will cover the UK Travel and Tourism industry, customer service, sales, communication and marketing in your learning. This will give you a good grounding in the basic principles of working in the industry, allowing you to experience what a career in this sector could look like.
Preparing you for the world of work is at the core of this qualification and applying the knowledge you learn to a working environment is a core part of the qualification. Throughout the course you will learn how to work in a team, use ICT systems and practice customer service and professional conduct.
As part of your study programme you will continue to develop your maths and English skills using Century, an online learning portal. If you don’t already have a grade 4 in English and/or maths then you will also continue to study for these qualifications.
You will be taught by industry experienced tutors who will bring a wealth of knowledge to your lessons and be able to pass on their knowledge and expertise.

A minimum of four GCSEs with the following grades: English at 2 or above and maths at 1 or above and two other GCSEs at 2 or above. If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.
You will be assessed through an ongoing portfolio of evidence.
Level 2 Travel and Tourism Level 2 Cabin Crew and Aviation
Following this qualification and further study, you will be able to progress into a number of roles in the industry, including travel rep, customer service and airline roles.
