COURSE

OVERVIEW

This Level 2 course will provide you with an understanding of the principles of the travel and tourism industry and equip you with transferable skills to work in a number of roles within the industry. You will learn about the UK and international industry.
All students on the NCFE qualification will undertake two core modules: Customer Service in Travel and Tourism, and the UK Travel and Tourism Industry. You will also learn about Travel and Tourism destinations, promotion in Travel and Tourism, UK purpose-built visitor attractions, hospitality in Travel and Tourism, career planning in the industry, and UK coastal tourism.
You will study full-time at our Huddersfield Centre, where you will be taught by industry professionals and engage in a range of extra-curricular activities to deepen your understanding of Travel and Tourism. Travel and Tourism students also regularly engage with employers in the industry, as work experience is a key part of your studies, preparing you to work in this exciting world.
Whilst on your study programme, you will continue to work on your English, maths and digital skills. If you have not achieved a grade 4 in your English and/or maths GCSEs, you will continue to work towards these qualifications.

A minimum of four GCSEs with the following grades: English at 3 or above and maths at 2 or above and two other GCSEs at 3 or above. If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.
