After 27 years in the hospitality and catering industry, Ben Atkinson decided to pursue a different career path and studied for a teaching qualification at Kirklees College.
When talking about this return to education, Ben said: “I have really enjoyed getting back into education and back into learning. It has now opened so many doors. “
After two years gaining his teaching qualifications with Kirklees College, he is now putting that experience at the college to good use and is a valued member of the teaching staff within Hospitality and Catering,
Ben is clearly passionate about inspiring the new generation of hospitality and catering professionals, he added: “I wanted to be able to build and shape a positive culture for young people. Being able to create a positive atmosphere at a place like Kirklees College is amazing. It’s a privilege to try and inspire a generation of people, whatever they choose to do.
