Kirklees College is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new apprenticeship partnership with Jingdong Logistics, a supply chain solutions and logistics services provider.
The organisation recently welcomed 13 apprentices to their Milton Keynes warehouse as they began their careers with the UK logistics team and became the first cohort of the new apprenticeship programme.
Staff from Kirklees College also joined the day to introduce everyone to the Level 2 Supply Chain Operative Apprenticeship programme, a 12-month learning journey designed to give the apprentices the skills, experience and foundations to build their future in logistics.

Rui, European Head of Logistics and Annie, Head of HR at JD Worldwide, also spent time with the group, sharing their experiences, answering questions and welcoming them to the team. Rui said: “It’s great to see the programme come to life and, more importantly, create meaningful opportunities for 13 young people at the very start of their careers. By investing in early talent and creating opportunities within our local communities, we’re helping the next generation grow with us.”
Alex Domun, Apprenticeship Programme Lead at Kirklees College, said: “The pace at which this programme has been established has been remarkable and is a testament to the collaborative efforts of both teams. Special thanks go to the JD Logistics team and the Kirklees College team for their hard work and commitment in bringing this partnership to life.
“We look forward to seeing these apprentices thrive in their new roles and to building on this successful partnership in the future.”
