With traditional open days postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kirklees College has hosted Virtual Open Days over the past two months to support prospective students considering their options this September.

The events are taking place via the new Kirklees College website, where teaching and support staff have delivered presentations on curriculum areas and the support services available. Attendees have also been able to ask questions during the Q&A sessions on Microsoft Teams.

The events have been a success so far and have been well attended by parents and students alike. The college Student Recruitment Team has worked hard to deliver high quality and informed content to showcase the best of what the college has to offer.

This week, the college is running online events focusing on its Huddersfield Centre, where students will have the opportunity to learn more about the courses available at the centre, including Art and Design, Business, Public Services, Foundation Learning, Hair and Beauty and more.

Further Virtual Open Days are being planned for the college’s Brunel Construction Centre, Taylor Hill Animal Centre and Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre, as well its Adult and Higher Education courses.

The virtual centre tours and presentations from previous events are now available to view on the Kirklees College YouTube channel and upcoming events are listed on the dedicated website page.
