Kirklees College is proud to be part of the Taking Teaching Further programme, a national initiative to attract experienced industry professionals with expert technical knowledge and skills to work in Further Education.
The Department for Education (DfE) funded recruitment initiative, developed and managed by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF), aims to help FE providers recruit and train industry experts to become teachers for the FE sector.
Kirklees College offers a wide range of teaching courses and professional qualifications, including CELTA Level 5 course, as well as the PGCE, Cert Ed and Level 5 Teaching Diploma. The courses offer a lower cost option and cover secondary and further education to provide learners with an insight into all elements of teaching.
At Kirklees College, we place a strong emphasis on employability and offer real-life experiences through work placements and partnerships with the University of Huddersfield and Sheffield Hallam University on their teaching programmes.
