COURSE

OVERVIEW

This one-year course has been designed to give you the best chance of progressing onto your chosen T Level. You will gain the technical knowledge and practical skills, as well as working towards GCSE English and maths and digital skills at a higher level.
This course will provide you with the necessary skills to develop a good understanding of the business environment and the different functions that operate within a business.
You will learn how trends and the current business environment may impact on a business and then you will plan an idea for a new business, which will help you to develop a better understanding of the costs involved in a business and how they can make a profit. You will also explore the role of marketing and consider how businesses use market research to make marketing decisions.
This qualification has been developed with leading businesses, schools and colleges to help you gain the knowledge, skills, and work experience that you will need to be successful in the workplace. There will be opportunities to build your employability skills by participating in live briefs delivered by external companies, such as Lloyds Banking Group, National Market Trade Federation and Kirklees Council.

GCSE English at grade 4 or above and 4 other GCSEs including maths at grade 3 or above. If you have an EHCP then please be aware that the college needs to have agreed, via the consultation period with your local authority, that we can meet the needs outlined in your EHCP before you can start on a course with us.

You can progress to the Level 3 T Level in Management and Administration: Team Leadership and Management.
Once you have completed the Level 3 T Level, you can progress to various roles in the business sector, including Business Development Manager, Order Management Coordinator, Business Administrator and Customer Services Manager.
