OVERVIEW

This course is specifically designed to prepare you to join the T Level Health cohort after one year of study and will also provide you with a Level 2 qualification. You will cover core principles of health and social care practice and ethics, giving you a good foundation of knowledge to progress in the field.
The core content you will cover on this course encompasses equality, diversity and rights in health and social care; human growth and development through the life span, and the role and responsibilities of the health and social care practitioner in relation to safeguarding individuals.
You will also work with your Personal Development Coach to find a suitable work placement during your course. This will help you to develop your practical skills which are essential in the Health and Social Care sector, and prepare you for the extensive work placement hours embedded in the T Level.
You will continue to work on your maths and English skills using Century, an online portfolio and this will be built into your study programme. If you do not already have a grade 4 in English and / or maths then you will also continue to study towards these vital qualifications.
